How does a christening photoshoot work?

On the day of the christening, my goal is to give you peace of mind and confidence that everything will be captured beautifully and unobtrusively.

I arrive early
I usually arrive 15–20 minutes before the start to familiarize myself with the location and go over the details.

Discreet work during the ceremony
I shoot quietly and unobtrusively, without using a flash, out of respect for the church and the ceremony.

Every important moment
I capture all key moments of the ceremony, as well as the emotions of the parents and godparents.

A short family photosession after the ceremony
After the christening, we take a few minutes for relaxed family portraits inside and around the church.

Processing and delivery of the photos
You will receive all selected and processed images in a consistent style, ready for sharing and preserving.
Delivery time is within 14–20 days.
I cover christenings in Sofia, Plovdiv, and Burgas, subject to availability. While I am primarily based in Sofia, I am always happy to travel to Plovdiv and Burgas to capture your special day.

When is the best time to book a date for a christening?

It is recommended to contact me as early as possible, especially for the spring-summer season and weekends, when dates fill up faster.

How many photos will we receive?

You receive all selected and edited photos from the shoot. Their number depends on the duration and dynamics of the event, but is always fully sufficient to tell the whole story of the christening.

Do you use flash during the ritual?

No. I work with natural light and an unobtrusive approach, respecting the ritual and the atmosphere of the church.

How long does the coverage last?

The coverage includes full coverage of the church ritual and up to 1 hour of presence after it ends for family and group photos.

What is the turnaround time for receiving the photos?

Photos are delivered within 14–20 days after the event via an online gallery.

How are the photos delivered?

Photos are provided via a secure online gallery, convenient for downloading and sharing. If a package with a photo book is selected, it is crafted and delivered additionally.

What happens if the child gets sick or the christening is postponed?

I understand that with children, changes are always possible. In such cases, we look for a convenient new date, without unnecessary stress.

Do you shoot outside Sofia?

Yes, subject to availability. For events outside Sofia, additional travel expenses apply, which are specified in advance.

How is the booking confirmed?

The date is considered booked upon confirmation of advance payment.

Locations and Services

As a christening photographer, I offer professional coverage of your celebration in the cities of Sofia, Plovdiv, and Burgas. My style of work when photographing christenings combines capturing the emotional moments in the church with the festive atmosphere afterwards. I shoot in a distinctly documentary style, without using flash or additional lighting inside churches. This is crucial for preserving the peaceful atmosphere during the ceremony itself, allowing the photographer to remain unobtrusive and capture candid emotions. I believe no one enjoys having a flash going off in their eyes while watching the ceremony, right? 🙂

Terms and Additional Information

A date reservation is considered confirmed upon making an advance payment. The remaining balance is paid on the day of the event. Payment is possible by bank transfer or in cash. Bank details are provided upon booking confirmation. For events outside Sofia, additional travel expenses apply. Videography is not included in the service. This is definitely a timeless product, an everlasting memory of your family moments. The difference compared to a regular album is tangible. Photo books feature a much higher quality and more durable craftsmanship. A standard album contains printed photos placed /glued/, most often in a leather or PVC binding. The photos in a photo book, however, are printed directly onto the pages. A selection of 40–60 photos is made in advance, arranged using a modern collage design that is pleasant and convenient to view. The studio provides a minimum 50-year warranty on ordered photobooks, given proper care and handling.

There are many imitations of luxury photobooks made with poor craftsmanship and tacky, low-quality design, offered at low prices that are naturally tempting. After a short time, the covers of these photobooks warp, pages start detaching one by one, colors fade, and the memory of the event is left tarnished by a poor-quality product.
