Hello
Before every wedding, I receive many questions from couples who care not only about the organization, but about the photos themselves – how they will feel, whether they will have to pose, and if it might all feel awkward and exhausting.
The truth is that you don't need to know how to pose to have beautiful photos. My job is to put you at ease, give you calm and natural guidance, and make sure that taking photos feels light and enjoyable, without any pressure.
During the photoshoot, I guide you calmly and naturally, so that you don't think about "poses," but simply enjoy being together. The best shots come not from perfect posing, but from ease, trust, and the genuine moment between you.
That is why I have gathered a few tips here to help you feel more relaxed and confident before and during your wedding day.
Photography is a way of capturing emotions and moments. What you capture in a frame is preserved forever.
Months before the wedding
We will have a meeting /in person or online/ to discuss all the details about your wedding, your dreams, and your wishes. I will ask you questions regarding the venue, the guests, and the schedule.
Beyond the purely organizational details, it is important to me that we also talk about how you envision your photos, how you feel in front of the camera, and whether you have any concerns. That way, on the day itself, everything goes much more smoothly, and you know you won't be left alone to 'figure out how to pose'.
A week before the wedding
We will confirm everything we discussed months ago to make sure there are no significant changes. We will confirm the time and location where we will meet on the wedding day.
Wedding day
This day has arrived, and my most important advice is to truly enjoy it. You don't need to think about how you look, how to pose, or what to do in front of the camera.
My job is to observe you, to capture natural moments, and, when needed, to give you very gentle and relaxed guidance. I won't make you stand stiffly for long, nor will we turn the photoshoot into a stressful task.
The best shots happen when you are relaxed, move naturally, and simply enjoy your day. My team and I will be by your side, helping you discreetly and making sure everything happens effortlessly and in good spirits.
Delivering your photos
After the wedding day, I will work on selecting and editing the photos. I perform basic processing – cropping, white balance, contrast, and color correction, and do not perform retouching. First, I will send you a "sneak peek" – 15-20 selected shots within the first 7-10 days after the wedding day. Approximately within up to 45 calendar days, I will send a link to a gallery where you can select photos for print and download all the images taken on your wedding day. After that, I will start working on printing your products – photo books, canvas, box, metal print.
Family photo list
One of the most common concerns is what happens during family photos and whether it will turn into chaos. That's why it is very helpful to have a clear list of the key combinations in advance.
This helps me guide you in a more calm and organized way, without unnecessary waiting and without a sense of tension for you and your loved ones.
Here you can find a list of family photo combinations to keep in mind for family portraits. All combinations assume photos with both families.
- Couple with parents
- Couple with parents and siblings
- Couple with parents, siblings + grandparents
- Couple with Maid of Honor and Best Man
- Couple with close & extended family
- Couple with mother
- Couple with father
- Couple with siblings
- Couple with grandparents
Choosing a location
The choice of location depends on the season, the number of guests, and your preferences. There are many beautiful places in the middle of the forest, by the sea, near a lake, or a river. I am always happy to share photos taken in various locations where I have worked
If it rains
This situation can be resolved in various ways and the rain will not ruin your wedding day /as well as the dress and suit/, and you will definitely have great photos from this special day. In case of an outdoor ceremony, you should arrange umbrellas for your guests. In case of an outdoor dinner, make sure to have a large tent
Preparations
You can get ready at home, or rent a hotel room or Airbnb. For me as a photographer, it is important that the space is bright and spacious. That is why I recommend choosing an apartment instead of a hotel room. But again, we will discuss all these details during our meetings before your wedding day.
For me, it is much more important that you feel good than for everything to look "perfectly arranged". When the location is calm and you are relaxed, the photos always look more natural.
Extra tips
If you decide to have a dress code color palette, that would be great for me. Because such weddings usually look much better in photos. You can also consider organizing an unplugged wedding. All photos will be taken by me and my team, so don't worry and enjoy every moment of the day.
